ASPC 2016 Corporate Social Responsibility Communications Awards Call for Entries
The American Society of Professional Communicators is currently accepting entries for the 2016 ASPC Corporate Social Responsibility Communications Awards competition.
More than a decade ago, investors, customers, business partners, community leaders and environmental activists began calling on companies to document in transparent and verifiable ways their commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports, web sites and social media campaigns address these concerns and go far beyond traditional financial reporting to tell a story about not just what a company does, but how it benefits the communities it serves and the wider world.
The 2016 ASPC Corporate Social Responsibility Communications Awards bring to bear the same practices and standards that have governed the ASPC's other successful recognition programs – the ASPC Annual Report Awards and the ASPC Masters Communication Awards – for nearly 20 years in order to honor those organizations whose CSR reports, web sites and social media campaigns most effectively tell these stories. Focused on the achievements of the professional communicators who plan and execute these communications, the competition does not aim to judge the merits of an organization's CSR program, but rather the quality of their CSR communications based on individual circumstances and the final product relative to current best practices in CSR reporting.
In addition to the competition's best-of-category awards, the ASPC awards committee also may bestow the ASPC Better Future Award for Excellence or a certificate of honorable mention upon other exceptional entries.
Additionally, the ASPC is offering a written critique of submitted CSR entries. Critiques examine each entry by the contest categories and provide comparative analysis against current trends and best practices. The ASPC is offering this service at a rate of $950. Participation in the written critique and analysis program in no way affects competition judging. To ensure the timely return of critiques, only the first 50 requests for written critiques will be accepted. Participation in the written critique and analysis program in no way affects competition judging.
The deadline for entries is Friday, November 18, and entries received by Friday, October 28, receive an automatic $50 early bird discount off the base entry fee.
